Other than moving constantly, Sana lived a pretty quiet childhood and often doesn't think it's worth talking about her past given how boring it was. Especially, as she claims, her dad ("How does one guy manage to be so uninteresting??")

Her mother Eshe is a sea serpent, while her father was a dragon similar to herself.

Unlike typical dragons, Sana doesn't breathe fire! Instead, the frill around her neck is made of photo-voltaic cells, meaning it absorbs sunlight and converts it into electricity she can discharge at will.

This also means she can run out; specifically on gloomier days with little sun. She also tends to be a lot lower energy on those types of days.

While not overly religious herself (she certainly won't bring it up in conversation), she does still respect her mother's practices, which is why she wears the hijab and prayer beads.

She learned how to fight from a retired city guard in one of her hometowns that she befriended, an armadillo named Changa. She taught her the basics of self-defense, focusing on fighting not as an aggressive act but one for sport or protection.

Speaking of protection, her rosary actually has a second function as a whip. She tries to not use it for this outside of actual emergencies due to the amount of damage they could cause.

Though she has wings, she doesn't like to fly much, preferring swimming as an activity much more. She claims its thanks to her mom.

Still occassionally visits Cortez in his grotto, bringing him things from town, checking in, and in general trying to reconnect to the grandfather she never got to know.
