While the news is still fresh in my mind...I wanted to remake this for a while, but before the request fallout, I didn't have the time to do it...
Anyway, frankly, not much has changed here, although Shantae's appearance has been updated to match her current appearance - for the new sequel after seven years!!
For those who didn't know: Shantae was a platform adventure game released for the Game Boy Color in 2002, published by Capcom. Starring the titular character, a sexy half-genie, Shantae goes on an adventure to stop the equally sexy pirate queen - Risky Boots from taking over the seven seas. It was received well by critics and quickly established a fanbase - one which has begged for a follow-up for the next seven years.
Just yesterday, it happened! It was announced that Shantae: Risky's Revenge is set for release on DSiWare across three episodes! (Darn! I don't have a DSi! Here's hoping for a WiiWare release... Although unlikely, since WayForward appears to specialize in handheld games...)
So here's this remake to mark the occasion! (And maybe I'll get a DSi...)
