Night snuck up on the terrain faster than expected, as blues painted the land and stars dappled the skies.
Petrel and Wren jostled playfully within the brush, dust and mischief heavy in the air.

Life went on. Time flew by.

Magpie sat solo off to the side, watching her younger siblings wrestle and carry on. It was almost as if they hadn't been there at all, as the snowy mutt blankly stared off into oblivion. The news of her family expansion hadn't sat well with her, and thus she wasn't coping as well one may have thought. She felt lonely, lonelier than she did in the depths of Massilia - Lonlier than her long nights within the cages, strapped down by chains with not a feline in sight.

No matter how much family surrounded her, nothing weighed on her heart more than her doubt.

"Shhh... Quiet- She'll hear us..."

Maggie flicked an ear, noting the sudden absence of her sisters. What?

And just as quick as they were gone, they were back - and flinging themselves at her tail and paws.

"Quick quick Wren! The mighty Huntress is down! - Get 'er good!" Petrel squealed in delight, paws tightly locked on Magpies fluffy white appendage - all the while Wren could only giggle and follow orders.

"Alright- ALRIGHT ENOUGH" Maggie barked suddenly, ears falling flat against her skull. "I didn't want to play - What about that don't you understand"

Silence quickly filled the atmosphere, smiles and gags gone - just as if they were never there in the first place.
The cubs exchanged looks, before letting their expressions droop. They were confused, hurt, and didn't know what to say.

Before the realization hit Maggie on what she'd just exploded about, all she could do was shut her eyes and breathe. It's for the best.
Sighing, she turned and began to stalk away. Walking away however, wasn't going to get her far.

"What the hell is wrong with you - Did you forget how to play? Or did that leave you too when you left for the City."
