West is a smallish medium tiered feline who has a lot of soft, rosy browns speckled all around her pelt. With the addition of a few rosettes carefully placed along her shoulders, West actually is a pretty spotty animal. With round ears like her father, and elongated cheek fluff & short tail like her mother, she's almost a perfect mix between the two.

West has a lot of thicker fur along her neck, but otherwise carries a thin coat, not well equiped for the colder months. During such, she will need enforcements... just begrudgingly. West carries a stunning light blue iris much like her older sister, brother and uncle, which contradicts the typical reds and oranges that flare among her family. All in all, she is a healthy, happy cat.

Personality

Around Strangers-

Bold and Brave-
West doesn't waste any time with introductions. West struggles little with meeting new friends, and with being one of the 'royals' of Lightning? She has no time to be shy. Her Outgoing personality really benefits her when introducing herself into situations many wouldn't be comfortable with at first glance. This cub takes life by the ankle and jumps right in ready for adventure. Not that she needs to prove herself, being Opal & Sards daughter... But she would sometimes like to be known as more than just that... or at least more than being "The sister of that one dead cub".
Obnoxious-

Honestly, she'll be underfoot quiet often if shes getting to know you. Spouting various ideas and adventure routes- it's not likely you'll get bored when around this spunky ball of fluff. Asking questions is her way of bonding, since- questions are a way of learning. The more you know the more you grow is her personal motto, even if it means she'll be on your tail in the process. It's best to smile and nod sometimes- just.. make sure you get the minimum in otherwise she may not leave.
Overextending-

West has a tendency to.. go above and beyond to say the least. She works and goes at things till shes exhuasted and ready for a well deserved nap, but it'll take an army for her to pause before she's ready. In that same notion, she also has a habit of going over peoples work... double checking it and re-doing it whether or not it’s needed; no one can do as well at this as she can, so she’s got to be the one to do it, obviously. She's persistant and stubborn, and will do as she pleases until she's put in her place by Mom or Dad... and it'll be begrudgingly at that.

Cuddly-

When West isn't bossing people around and strutting her stuff, she actually is a very affectionate cat. She craves a lot of attention, and while she doesn't so much act out to gain negative attention, she does what she can in order to be praised and thanked for her work. At the end of the day, any form of physical touch means the world to her, and she sucks that up when its available. Part of a reason she gets along so great with her dad stems from his constant pressence to wrestle, play or just be there when she needs him. She loves a good cuddle, and snuggle and hug, so when she can't recieve it, she gives it out when its appropriate.
Helpful-

Her more than helpful nature is something that kinda catches others in surprise. One moment she'll be yelling at her siblings for messing with her nest, and the next she'll be lined up to assist her momma in a task. West in particular like's helping her siblings and dad. She has a really special bond with her father, and aspires to be more like him in order to gain the attention she likely craves from her mom. Im sure once she's old enough to understand the dynamics this family has and the trauma's they've endured... she won't be as persisitant in her mission, but she's always willing to go fetch something, or do her siblings a favor when they ask.
Durable-

Although loud, and sometimes snippy, West believe it or not has pretty thick skin. She can easily take a joke, and doesn't let a lot of things bother her. For example, any form of bullying would slip right off her shoulders. One might think she'd have a little bit of an ego tied together with a dash of hothead... but she really doesn't. She'd take a bullet for her family, but it rarely gets to a point where her big girl words come to bat. She finds it's easiest just to take things with a grain of salt and go on with her day.

Ok, this should come to no surprise but West is every bit OCD. She likes things to be a certain way, and feels she has the correct eye for every job. What she invisions, is how she feels it should be at all times for a multitude of different things. Part of the reason why she goes above and beyond for her tasks, is not just to gain a pat on the back and a thumbs up... but mostly because it'll drive her insane if it isn't done right. It is something she will need to work with as she grows older, but for now she's just a little high strung in some areas.

Given to her by Jinx, West got her ear pierced by young blacksmith, Calvinus on a streak of wanting to be independant. Much to her surprise, it was largely enjoyed by everyone, even her mom.

Background

August of 39 B.C., the chilling discovery of Majora wrecked the Empires. About a year prior, the son of Opal and Sardonyx had been brutally murdered, and since then -- the family recovered slow and steadily. Some days were worse than others, but all in all they were a piece of fine china, building one another up piece by piece. It wasn't much longer after that when Korhal decided to abandon ship as well, leaving in search of safer terrain alongside friends.

So... holding onto to their small crew of 5... Opal and Sard welcomed another 5 new recruits to their ship. Horizon, West, Nautica, Vira & Jupiter

Born in the midst of winter, this bundle of joy brought just the right amount of love that the family needed. By no means a way to replace, but instead an addition to possibly move on and mend the holes in their hearts. Korhal and Surf will never be forgotten, and always loved, but now the family will learn to love a little extra.

Boss Lady-
West 100% has a bad habit of taking the bull by its horns. She does as she pleases when she sees fit, thus coming off a little bossy.

West has a disorder called Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in which features a pattern of unwanted thoughts and fears (obsessions) that lead you to do repetitive behaviors (compulsions). These obsessions and compulsions interfere with daily activities and cause significant distress.
Puffed up-
When something bothers West, she tends to let her hackles rise and her tail puff. It's by no means an act of aggression, but a reaction to an uncomfortable feeling she might get.
Fears
Shadowed-
West fears that she will likely always live under her brother, Surfs, shadow, and never be more than just a sibling. On the same token, she wonders if she'll ever make a name for herself that isn't 'The leaders daughter' too.
Momma-
This isn't so much a fear, but a worry for West. She thinks sometimes that she'll never please her mother especailly in the early months due to her absent behavior. She loves her mom dearly and would do anything for her praise. Of course Opal is present and sticks around, but it doesn't help her from noticing her sometimes distant mindset and ample attempts for fresh air. -- This is a worry she WILL grow out of as she grows to understand and come to terms with their dynamics.
