Description my first attempt at an origami 'spring into action' (Jeff Beynon). It moves too! I followed this tuorial on Youtube.

Made out of 1 sheet of a4 cut down slightly.

Thanks! Have you tried? It's quite tricky to get the folds to turn the spring but it's worth it!

it's quite hard to get the hang of, i think. this one took quite a while but i think once you get it it's not too bad. which bit do you get stuck on? this is quite a good youtube video: [link]

I usually get the first ring done, but I can never get the second one to cooperate.

yeah that's a problem i had. i think i just did the second layer how i did the first layer/ring (like folding the diagonals and straight lines over each other like i was making the first layer) and twisting the top layer at the same time, if you get me (sorry, i'm just not articulate at all ) and it's worth it! thanks for the llama btw!

Well, I finally made it. It looks a little off, but not too bad. There's only one bad thing: This model is just amusing enough to distract me from all the work I've got to do, lol.
