Description
One of the main criticisms I have with this show is that sort of pseudo-LEGO style they give the characters. In other words: making them seem like they're made out of LEGO, but not going to the trouble of drawing actual LEGO pieces.

I get it; you gotta bend the rules a bit for the sake of animating 3D objects in 2D animation, but come on! Most of the new characters clearly weren't designed from any real LEGO pieces...they actually had to invent several new LEGO pieces for the toy sets just so they'd look like the characters in the show!

*Sigh* Okay! Getting to the crux of my overzealous rant: if they weren't going to bother with making them all out of actual LEGO pieces in the show, I personally think they should've gone all the way to the opposite side of the spectrum and made them as non-LEGO-like as possible...like how I have illustrated them here!

As you can see, while still staying pretty true to the art-style of the show, I mostly just gave them a little extra detailing such as the rounded edges and tufts of fur to make them look much more like living creatures instead of chunks of plastic. And of course I did away with those weird arch-shaped bodies Unikitty and Puppycorn had in favor of four-legged forms more befitting for adorable cat/dog/unicorn hybrids.

Sure, that means certain episodes like "Stuck Together" and "A Rock Friend, Indeed" wouldn't be possible in this format (at least without it being too disturbing) but I still think this would make for a really interesting (if not, better) alternative way to animate the show.

(Oh, and incase you were wondering...there actually is a far less petty reason for why I drew this, so stay tuned! A fair warning though: it only involves one of the characters shown here. )
