It hurts to let you goAnd give the comfort of your arms dismissal from my cold and aching body.
Your presence fills me so,
I die each time you close the door and exit with dimmed headlights on.
I cry in chilling desperation
While you turn your back to walk away and retreat to your distant home.
Lonely hours steer my heart
To thoughts of yesterday, and all we'd done, all we'd played, all we'd promised.
We have not finished here.
There is more awaiting us, around the corner and past the deepest mire of our lives.
As time goes on
I wait with salted tears for your presence to return to me, my open arms ever yearning.
The joys of peace
Found in you. I cherish the moments by my side, your arm brushing mine.
I wish you back
Today, tomorrow. Always. My angel without wings; my saviour and my love.
I stand with you here, now
Pledging that here after I will hold your hand, I will carry your tired soul, I will keep your heart.
Love me as I am.
We are each other, in union bliss, a soul the same. We are eternity and forever.

Dude, you rock! How could you . . . how did you . . . why'd you . . . how come . . . gah . . . it's amazing! And it IS poetry, not prose! I wish I had someone to be there for me and help me, and lift me up when I'm sad, to lean on me, wait, that's a song. Anyway, I love it, and it's good, and everything else that I don't say aorund anyone that you know I feel anyway because . . . you just do! Have fun!

Very nice my friend. It's sad but seemingly hopeful or wishful mabye. You've done a fine job of capturing the moment. I can really relate to this, hits far too close to home. Far FAR to close to home. Anyway, keep it up.

That's so pretty. In a sad way of course, but it's so pretty. It makes me sad just reading it, and you know.. not many things do that. Anyway, if you do change it, make sure to post it or let me read it. I like it how it is though. It's set up cool too, with the couplets like that--short line, long line.
