Description Here is a quick peek at a fella I've been modding. The top image is a 'before' shot. The base doll is a Goodreau 12" Hint. As you can see, he'll be modded beyond all recognition by the time I'm through with him. I normally don't take in-progress photos of my doll modding, but this time I thought it would be a good idea. This particular progress pic was actually taken a few days back, so he's come along quite a bit since then.

When he's finished I'll probably take an unpainted photo just to see the bare mods, and then final photos when all the painting and hair and such have been completed.

He's gotten massive body carving, elongation of the lower torso, re-working of the mid-torso joint, some body sculpting, body texturing, and I'm currently in the process of rebuilding his legs, which required shortening both thighs, building the middle pieces and several new joints, and re-working the knee bits. He's also had his eye sockets widened and reset further apart, his mouth carved open, wires drilled and inserted into his head to sculpt ears and horns over, and I'm still working on extensive facial re-sculpting as well.

Quite the big transformation for such a little guy!

love to see these steps too
Guessing it is some sort of air drying sculpting clay?

I use a two-part sculpting compound, usually Apoxie Sculpt or Milliput.

sort of, but not quite. When you mix the two parts it creates a chemical reaction and the sculpting compound hardens and sets in a few hours. It's nice in that you have a longer working time than a regular air dry modeling clay.
