Description
This is the most insane, ambitious and professional looking print I think I have ever done. It is 24inchesx36inches and 3 color reduction. I am still trying to explore zen in my work and I think this print does this as well but maybe in a different direction than my 5-points one. I am feeling inarticulate about it right now. This print is now available on etsy!

This is mind-bogglingly beautiful! It's a perfect rendition of the sun just beginning to set in winter.

I find a little Zen meditation for me in the crackling along the shadows of the trees. A moment of clarity in the imperfection of a tea cup.... A moment of clarity in the imperfection of the snow.

Insane? No. I like it very much.
Funny you said that you're trying to explore zen because I was searching for the word "quietness" and came across with your work.

Congrats on the DD! I love it. It reminds me of northern Wisconsin in Winter, where I grew up as a small kid. ^.^

I had to look up lino and I have to say it's even more impressive when I realized how these are actually done. That must have taken forever.
Without examining it closely I wouldn't have guessed it isn't a photograph. The only thing that gives it away are the unnaturally sharp shadows... On a smooth surface like snow the gradual blurring of shadows with increasing distance tends to be more pronounced than on (for example) grass or leaf litter, but I guess blurring can't really be done effectively in this medium.
Overall I'd say the DD is well deserved.

This reminds me of my favorite woodblock print artist, Kawase Hasui. I love trees and their shadows. This has a very limited color scheme and I think that is part of the beauty. It is clean and crisp but elegant. Lovely!

I am so happy that you mentioned Kawase Hasui. He is one of my absolute favorite artists. I have recently been looking at his series of night landscapes that are amazing. I am so flattered to be compared to him. Thank you
