Description
From his shop in Mos Espa, Watto dabbled in junk dealing and human trafficking before losing a large part of his fortune as a result of a failed bet with the Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn. Given Hasbro is probably unlikely to get around to him any time soon, I thought that I would put together my own 6" scale version of the character as he first appeared in The Phantom Menace. This figure utilises my own cast of Episode I "Watto (Head)" Pepsi bottlecap, Episode 1 2-Headed Announcer (Fode and Beed) (for the upper legs, torso and majority of the smaller arms), my own cast from Sculpey Woman push mold (for the arm extensions, torso extension and lower legs), a cheap dragon toy (for the wings) and some modelling clay.
A scale comparison to the two carded Hasbro versions of the character:

Thanks so much for saying so. It is certainly easier to get details to show up better in 6" scale than it is in 3.75" scale, and it helps no end when the base sculpt (my own resin cast of a Japanese Pepsi bottle cap from 1999) is of a decent quality to begin with. I do wish that I had added a bit more texture to the jacket in hindsight though as it looks a little plain when blown up for this photo (it isn't nearly so noticable when looking at it first hand).
