Description A little tribute to my father Norman K. Grimes, who passed away early April 11, Holy Saturday. The photo here is from his Korean War days; I think he's still in Arkansas in this shot, but he's wearing his fatigues and all. My cousin's husband up in Northern Cali, a professional photographer, will be printing and framing a similar picture especially for Dad's funeral. This is just my own take on it with my Paint program.

A handsome fellow with a talented daughter.
Ironically he died on my grandfather's birthday, and he was a Norman too! (so is my dad, Norman Jr).
Your Basil stories make me happy whenever I need cheering up. They are charming, well written and full of everything I enjoy such as adventure and what I like to call "The art of truth".
Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you, even though those two simple words never really feels like enough to express the meaning behind them.
I hope these comments find you in health and happiness.

Your comment and compliments have really made my day! As for your grandfather, I'm sorry for your loss. But how interesting that he (and your Dad) were both named Norman! I can just imagine them meeting up in Heaven: "Norman, this is Norman."

sorry it took so long to comment on this, I just couldn't find the right words in way of true ciritque. *that is what you asked for right?* I was so couked up when I first saw it I about cried. I's a very touching piece knowing you maded it. IThe picture itself is good and your simple but still elagent and effect frame drives to piont home to the heart.

It's okay, hon. I'd started to ask for critique, but changed my mind. I might do that later on, though. I'm very glad you liked this, and thanks for your critique and comment. Though I partly had Photobucket to thank for the "poster" effect, it was mostly Paint that did the job.

Thank you, hon. It was in a pile of old photos from my grandmother's estate, and I had put it in a video over at YouTube. And you know, the pastor who did Dad's funeral said the same thing, that it looked like an old Hollywood photo. It's one of the best pictures of Dad, ever.
