Hey, in these troubled times, I have to be optimistic about something.
In spite of my apparent egotism, this is one of few photos of myself that I'm happy with---the camera has actually been my enemy at times. 
This was taken in my computer room with my mobile phone cam, minus eyeglasses and after an extreme makeover. If you comment, please be merciful.

There are times when I'm certain my mug could break a lens, cameras can be so mean to me. It's all in the angles and direction of the head. You look lovely here, the camera was behaving.

I'm afraid the editing programs were the villain in a lot of that. I've re-done the picture some and the effect is a bit softer now. But a digital cam or something might have done a better job. As far as my skin though, a lot of that was makeup--underneath that is a rather ruddy and uneven complexion, so maybe it wasn't all pixels!
