So technically, this is a pet store - you can find anything you need for your pets in this place, while also selling some animals - Rodents, Birds, Amphibians and Reptiles. In the pet store, you can also see some animals that aren't for sale, the same way it's a sort of mini zoo with Fennec Foxes.

When our sister lived in Amsterdam, we used to visit that city's zoo a lot (because of the Gray Mouse Lemurs and Fennec Foxes) but since she's moved, we haven't been quite as often. And we missed seeing the Fennec Foxes most because they're not as common.

And what do you know, but this place is in the city she lives now We planned to visit for a bit, but now made a family outing - we actually spend 4-5 hours in the place Most due to these beautiful Fennecs who were awake and fun and so pretty

Species: Fennec Fox (Fennek vos of Woestijnvos)

Latin name: Vulpes Zerda

Originates from Northern Africa.

Current status: Least Concern

Did you know:

…The word “Fennec” is Arabic for Fox, so basically, we call him “Fox Fox”.

…Its large ears are its most distinct feature, and serve to dissipate heat.
