Description Photo taken in March, 2014 @ ZieZOO, The Netherlands

Aside from the three Tayra babies, I remembered three Eurasian Eagle Owls had been born in this zoo in February.
In this photo, you can see two (the other one is behind him on the left). They are already kind of large, but still hide. And very effectively; many people walked past not seeing them at all.
At one point, we were lucky enough to be around when the Mom fed the chicks. It looked as if she'd skip one of the chicks - I don't know whether she did or not. I was sad for the little one, but realize that's nature. Doesn't mean I can't feel bad about it.

Species: Eurasian EagleOwl (Euraziatische Oehoe)

Latin name:  Bubo Bubo

Originates from Europe and Asia.

Current status: Least Concern.
