When you know a Corsac Fox was born at the zoo, you don't care it's a long drive - you go there in hopes of seeing the little one.

Of course, we were afraid we wouldn't see him at all... But then as we were there, there he was too! We didn't have to wait for hours, we got to see him in gorgeous lighting being curious and easily spooked at the same time.

Species: Corsac Fox (Steppevos)

Latin name: Vulpes Corsac

Originates from Central Asia.

Current status: Least Concern.

Did you know:

…The fur of the Corsac Fox changes during Winter, not unlike that of the Arctic Fox.

…It’s coat becomes much thicker, and more silky in texture, and becomes-grey in color, with a darker line running down the back; this compared to the yellowish fur during Summer, with pale underparts, and markings on mouth, chin and throat.
