Beautiful girl Rani
We were so happy to watch her twin cubs grow up! Before our visit, the cubs moved - in our opinion, too soon - to the zoo where Rani was born. They are doing very well there, though I sure hope that zoo won't get itself in trouble (again) by breeding with the brother and sister...
Anyway, this opened up Rani to a new litter, born on December 1 last year. Two of them are wild-color like Rani herself, and one takes after their father Rakhan, who is leucistic.
We hoped to go see the cubs this year, but there won't be much "cub" when we're finally allowed to go to a zoo again due to them being closed because of the corona virus... We'll have to content ourselves with photos instead
Species: Bengal Tiger (Bengaalse of koningstijger)
Latin name: Panthera Tigris Tigris
Originates from regions in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.
Current status: Endangered
