It's so much fun to hear the baby Meerkats make the same noises as the adults do It's probably just mimic, because it doesn't go quite as smoothly, and is still rather yip-y sounding. Still, I have to admit, the baby Meerkats at this zoo are probably my favorites from all zoos. They're just too cute and inquisitive and we get to see them grow up more than any other

They're standing in front of the glass, looking up at either me or M (we tend to spread to get different photos from different angles) and you can actually see their own reflection

Species: Meerkat (Stokstaart)

Latin name: Suricata Suricatta

Originates from Southern Africa.

Current status: Least Concern.
