The Crowned Lemurs seem to be the less dominant ones of all te Lemurs; the young ones need to be careful at times to not get in the way of or sit in an area belonging to the Red-Bellies. They will be chased and chased till they leave.

But this little boy was earlier than anybody else to sit and wait for the door to their indoors to open. Nobody knew he was there, so he was quite comfy in his little corner of the world

Species: Crowned Lemur (Kroonmaki)

Latin name: Eulemur Coronatus

Originates from Madagascar.

Current status: Endangered

…Crowned Lemurs are sexually dimorphic; females have a gray body with an orange crown, while males are a dark reddish brown, crowned with black and orange.

…They have long, non-prehensile tails which they use to balance jumping from branch to branch, but also for communication in their close knit, female-led social groups.
