Even though the number of Cheetah is slowly gaining, every litter of cubs is celebrated. And considering there aren't all that many Cheetahs in zoos here to add to that number, I had to save some photos I took earlier in the year.
Isn't this little cubbie the cutest? He was also the most curious

Species: Cheetah (Jachtluipaard)

Latin name: Acinonyx Jubatus

Originates from Africa and the Middle East.

Current status: Vulnerable

Did you know:

…The Cheetah can clock in to 112 to 120 km/h (70 to 75 mph), making it the fasted land animal on the planet, covering 500 meters (1,600 ft) in short burst, and being able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in three seconds.

…It is one of the few Felids with semi-retractable claws.
