It depends on a drawing, but this is mostly my imagination ( I had to look a photo in that chair.. ^^ ) Sometimes I use photos with animals also. If I found a really cute picture.

This is whimsical, endearing and wonderfully executed! The characters are lifelike, yet fantastical, as pointed out, very Beatrix Potter-esque! A fave for certain!

I am always entralled by your work. May I ask if you put down a yellow wash before you started the painting or is the paper a creamy color? There is a lot of warmth in this painting. Your illustrations seem to be from another era, very reminiscent of Beatrix Potter. Do you admire her as I do? I look forward to each new submission.

I like warm colors and there is yellow in the background. but I took the picture of this drawing under the light of lamp so it makes this even more yellow.. maybe too yellow
