Description
First, I want to thank for the help with this. He gave me a few tips and, along with made a secon edition book, I created Hailey in Mutants and Masterminds. It wasn't easy at first, you have to skip around the book to find everything but once you know where everything is it gets easier. This isn't really complete because I couldn't include one spell but I guess that alright. I also realized as I was miking this that she does better as a long range fighter although she can hold her own in close range combat too. Also, Who ever she's fighting might fall in love/ lust with her before the fight is over.
Sorry that this is low res. I had to work with what I could afford.
P.S. I want someone out there to put her in a game and tell me how well she did.
Hailey can be found in and belongs to me.

I had to bring a calculator to this one. I've seen the Marvel game somewhere. If that's the one that's free I might try it.

Huh, well that all looks very complex and granular... although I understand some of the fundamentals.

Yeah. It takes awhile to get use to but once you do it's easy to understand.

I've played all three additions and created a few characters so I'm very much aware of how confusing it can be to get everything the way you want until you've played in the system quite a bit I've played and GMed in it for years and I'm still learning things.
The PL in general is the max level a character can have in a power (primarily damaging powers) without tradeoffs. So this is not necessarily the power points the character has. The 15 points per level is the recommended starting power points for that level. A great example of this is that Superman in 3ed/DC Adventures is only PL15 but he's got 289 power points, a starting character at that level only has 225.
Hope that helps a little.

The Power level was what confused me early into this. That and the way the book is written.

Yeah I can definitely understand that, the 2nd edition book wasn't laid out very well. They had a similar problem with the DC Adventures book, but cleaned it up with their 3ed release. (Still can be a little confusing but better then the other editions). I enjoy playing the system, it's easy to get the hang of combat in my opinion.

Still manual setup aside IMO its a fun system, I've been running a campaign universe in it on and off for almost 10 years.

Very nice. I goofed around a little with Mutants and Masterminds this summer, helping my younger brother prepare a campaign he was going to run. And I've pretty much loved Hero Lab ever since I was introduced to it for Pathfinder...

I actually wasn't a huge fan of M&M (except that the name was fun to say), but designing the characters was kind of fun.

A personal favorite for Pen-and-Paper games in Champions- I recommend 4th edition over whatever the current edition is, as it's hugely adaptable. Granted, it's also insanely rules-heavy, and sometimes you end up rolling handfuls (yes, that's plural) of sixes for a single attack, but that's part of the fun...

Well, if you enjoy a fairly complicated but unbelievably flexible rules system and you don't mind that the game tends to bring out rules-lawyers the way a dead mouse brings flies, it really is a fun system- and there's a veritable plethora of supplementary material, as well, to help further enrich both home-grown and from-the-box campaign settings.

The character creation is very detailed. there was only thing I could do and the stats are accurate. It isn't as complicated as it looks once you try it a couple of times but the book itself makes it harder then it should be.

Pretty neat character. Did you start out building her for PL 20, or just put her together at what you thought she should have at the proper levels and then add up the points?

moxiee In reply to Lady-Quantum [2013-10-15 04:32:12 +0000 UTC]
I started at level 15 but it wasn't high enough for what I wanted to do. the teleportation spell by it's self cost most of the points and I couldn't even add the last spell but it would be unrealistic to go higher then 20.

Lady-Quantum In reply to moxiee [2013-10-15 08:34:53 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, teleportation is rough. I have to recommend arrays for that game in order to cut down on costs where you can.

Find a second edition core rule book. The first chapter of that book is here. www.mutantsandmasterminds.com/…
The character creator here also helped. wolflair.com/index.php?context…
It took a while but I finally figured out how to do it.

LoneStranger In reply to AzureVirgo [2013-10-14 22:50:34 +0000 UTC]
Not entirely, everything on the left half is page one of the character sheet and everything on the right is page two. Most of the powers and skills are self explanatory while the feats do give the short form of what they do on the sheet itself.

No problem, I will say to save your work you do need to spend money. On the upside M&M 2nd ed isn't that expensive to get everything you need for it.
