some more cats, just a little doodle when i got home from work today

morningstar/morningcloud on the left and russetstar on the right

some backstory on their clans/world before i continue

ok so morningstar became leader of her clan after her former leader and deputy died in a rockslide. she was formerly a medicine cat
she would have died in the rockslide as well but it was at the canyonclan border and russetstar was able to grab her in time

she's the youngest and most experienced leader so she often turned to russetstar for guidance and the two fell in looooove

eventually in a border fight russetstar took one of morningstar's lives and felt so awful and conflicted afterwards. morningstar hated to see her struggling with their relationship vs. being a leader so much that she stepped down as leader, besides, by then she had restored the clan to stability and acknowledged that she was only really there as a stand in for the future true leader of meadowclan

but when morningstar when to ask russetstar if she could join canyonclan, russetstar refused, knowing that it would put her clan at too much risk and her clan duties were always most important to russetstar

morningstar is upset but understands russetstar's decision, and decides to instead become a loner and go back to her medicine cat roots, healing lone cats and visiting with sunclan and moonclan at the horizon

she renounces her leader name and her nine lives but sunclan and moonclan bless her remaining life with unusual longetivity, and for the rest of russetstar's leadership morningcloud visits in her dreams and when they both eventually die they'll walk the sun and moon together forever
