I'm spectating for now. C: This is for

Christine
Chris grew up in Vermilion city. Her parents both work at the Vermilion Port: Her father as a crew member on the S.S.Aqua, and her mother in the terminal building itself. Chris lived a peaceful, vaguely boring life until the age of eleven. And everyone knows what happens when you’re eleven and live in Kanto/Johto/Hoenn/Sinnoh/anywhere else with Pokemon in it. That’s right. She struck out on her own because she wanted to be the very best. Like no one ever was. To catch them was her real test, to train them was her cause. ANYWAY. After riding her trusty bike to Pallet Town, Chris received her first Pokemon from Oak: an adorable, quirky Charmander. She nicknamed the cute little guy Stanley, and together they set out on their adventure. A beginning the same as that of most other trainers, but hey. Since then, Chris has had wondrous and exciting adventures, including but not limited to collecting the badges of the various regions, battling the Elite Four(s), the occasional skirmish with the infamous Team Rocket, and, of course, catching, training, and befriending Pokemon.

Chris is a fairly personable, outgoing individual, and although she doesn’t travel with a set group of other trainers, she has never found it terribly difficult to make friends. She’s got a nice sense of humor, complete with a healthy dose of good-natured sarcasm, and enjoys talking to and getting to know other trainers and their teams. In battle, Chris does her best to keep a level head, and this is usually the case. Her style is a mix of instinct and calculation. The exception to this is the fact that she will become increasingly agitated to the point of full-on rage if her Pokemon are beginning to suffer/ suffering serious injuries (but really, wouldn’t anyone?). This is a very rare occurrence, however. For the most part, Chris is cordial to her opponents, and doesn’t mock their losses or openly relish her own team’s victories (though she will be openly happy about it when it’s just her and her team, and congratulate them with treats and affection. Aww.). Losing is more difficult for her- although she’ll concede to a loss, such a circumstance will cause her distress, which she’s bad at hiding. Chris will blame herself for not being a better Trainer rather than thinking her Pokemon are at fault.
As far as clothing goes, Chris’ outfits are...well, they’re the weird sort of outfits that I enjoy drawing. XD I might have to do that clothing meme they have for this. Also: Cravats, man. You know they make anything fancy. Anything.

Although it doesn’t appear on their portraits, Chris’ Pokemon each have a held item. Some are interchangeable- others, in Stanley’s case, are not. :C

Stuff in That Bag:
Chris’ bag contains some typical Trainer items, some of which aren’t pictured in the accessories section. These items include a PokeDex, a PokeGear, a collapsible Bike, a Map, Ultra Balls x5 and a case for those newfangled Poffins. Otherwise:
Items shown: wallet, notebook and pencil, Amulet Coin, Spell Tag, Soda Pop x5, candy, Mystic Water, Everstone, PokeDex, Blackglasses, and BrightPowder. The Horsea-shaped charm in the upper left corner of the box is what the pendant on Chris’ necklace looks like up-close.
Items not shown but in the bag irregardless: Full Heal x3, Full Restore x3, Revive x4, Lemonade x2, Moomoo Milk x2, Lum Berry x4, Leppa Berry x3, Focus Band, Wise Glasses, Expert Belt, Shell Bell, every HM, and changes of clothes.
Basically, what everyone else has, too. XD

The Team

Bellamy (Vaporeon):
Nature- Modest
Ball- Quick Ball
Held Item- Mystic Water

Chris had some difficulty catching Bellamy as an Eevee, what with the Pokemon’s inherent skittishness. She chased him through several Routes and a town before she was finally able to corner him, chuck a Quick Ball, and hope for the best. Though wary of Chris at first because of this initial encounter, Bellamy warmed up to his Trainer relatively quickly and is now quite fond of her. Because of her frequent visits to Vermilion City to see family and friends, and because she couldn’t think of anyone more reliable to Surf with, Chris procured a Water Stone and evolved Bellamy into a Vaporeon (...obviously). Bellamy is more or less the team’s voice of reason. He often reminds both Voltaire and Banquo to put more thought into their battles, as well as their actions in general (much to their chagrin). They would argue, but Bellamy is the most battle-experienced of the team, so his advice is generally taken to heart. Bellamy is also quite cuddly.

Voltaire (Houndoom):
Nature- Rash
Ball- Dusk Ball
Held Item- Blackglasses

Living in Vermilion City, Chris often rides the S.S.Aqua to Johto. She encountered Voltaire when he was a runt-sized Houndour on one of these excursions. He decided to pick a fight with Fritz, who promptly put him to sleep and started nomming his delicious dreams. Chris felt sorry for the tiny puppy, and decided to take him on as part of the team. Since then, Voltaire has grown into a slightly-taller-than-normal Houndoom, and a powerful combatant. He does have smallish horns, though, and he’s often mistaken for a female of his species as a result. Voltaire is exceedingly loyal to Chris and would go to any length to ear her praise, but seems to lack a certain eloquence when it comes to decision-making skills in general. Despite his fearsome appearance, Voltaire gets along well with the rest of his team, and acts very much the guard dog when he feels any one of them is being threatened.

Cordelia (Scyther):
Nature- Serious
Ball- Safari Ball
Held Item- Focus Band

Chris found Cordelia in the Safari Zone soon after the Scyther had been defeated as a result of challenging the leader of her swarm. Although injured, Cordelia tried as best she could to avoid capture, and several Safari Balls were wasted before she finally gave in. She was aggressive and stand-offish to the party initially, but found that she enjoyed the comradery and security it offered her- a far cry from the outcast she had been before. Constantly working to be stronger, she has since become a vital part of the team. Much like Voltaire, Cordelia is fiercely loyal, and will push herself in battles, never willing to give up a fight. She is friendly to her teammates, but will be the first to let anyone know if she thinks they’re not battling to their full potential. Stanley is often the brunt of these harsh criticisms, given his reluctance to evolve. Cordelia finds the idea of Stanley somehow “losing” his Everstone highly appealing.

Banquo (Pidgeot):
Nature- Hasty
Ball- Premier Ball
Held Item- Shell Bell

Banquo was the first Pokemon Chris ever caught. Stanley vs a Pidgey. It was pretty adorable. Banquo is very intelligent, but his hasty nature sometimes gets the better of him, and he tends to rush things. This includes flying from time to time- Chris has had to remind him loudly to slow down during travel for fear that she won’t be able to hang on at such speeds. Banquo shares the team’s desire to hone their respective skills. Being one of Chris’ very first Pokemon, he has some old habits from previous evolutions that have carried over to the here and now. Preening Chris’ hair was easier when he could sit on her shoulder as a Pidgey, but that doesn’t stop him from doing it now. Banquo is often the first to come to Stanley’s defense when others in the party are critical of him, having known him the longest. As a result, Stanley sees Banquo as something if a big brother.

Fritz (Meowth):
Nature- Naughty
Ball- Heal Ball
Held Item- Amulet Coin

Fritz was not a capture, but not necessarily a “gift”, either. Upon returning to Vermilion City to challenge Lt.Surge, Chris dropped in to visit her mother, who promptly gave her a young but slightly battered Meowth. “It was a stray, so naturally I took it in, but it’s been nothing but trouble since- NOTONTHESOFA!!” This was indeed a troublesome Meowth. But Chris saw more than a cat who sprayed the sofa and ruined the brand new rug. She saw a cat who sprayed the sofa and ruined the brand new rug with potential. Fritz isn’t nearly as bad nowadays, but his naughty nature has put him in more than his share of trouble. Chris will constantly find items in her bag that she did not put there herself: usually coins or other round, shiny objects. When confronted by Bellamy and/or Voltaire, Fritz claims that these are “gifts”. He shares Stanley’s desire to stay as his original form, but this is more for his own amusement than out of fear. Fritz will request that Voltaire spook him out of evolving when he’s close to leveling. The Houndoom’s howl seems to be a surefire way to accomplish this. Fritz is rarely ever in a bad mood.

Stanley (Charmander):
Nature- Quirky
Ball- PokeBall
Held Item- Everstone

The Charmander Chris received from Professor Oak at the beginning of her adventure is...still a Charmander. Stanley considers Chris his very best friend, refusing to leave her side. Always out of his ball, Stanley will either walk beside his Trainer or sit atop her bag. Stanley is often admonished by Cordelia for his refusal to evolve. This is always hard for Stanley: On one hand, he knows how much the team could benefit if he was stronger, but on the other, such changes have been known to alter a Pokemon’s personality as well, and Stanley doesn’t want that to happen. His response to these affronts is that Chris thinks he’s just fine the way he is- she even lets him hold an Everstone for guaranteed peace of mind. Stanley’s Everstone is comparable to a child’s favorite toy: it’s incredibly important to him, and he’d be devastated if he lost it. Despite his small stature and evolutionary limitations, Stanley strives to be as powerful as possible. He makes sure to practice his Scary Face daily. It’s pretty horrifying.

Pokemon belongs to Ken Sugimori and Nintendo and other people who are not me.
Chris and her team do.

Wow, I can't believe how good Pokemon look in your style! I'm having a tough time deciding my favorite between Fritz, Cordelia, and Banquo.

Our trainers need to get acquainted, so I can draw Chriiis! >w< A friendly battle never hurt anyone! (Except the Pokemon, maybe)

(I was at a friend's house when I first saw this, and when my friend popped into the room, the first thing she said was, "Ack, SHE'S SO...BLUE." She's used to her silly TV shows where everyone has boring, natural hair colors. - 3- )

(Pshhh, natural hair colors. What are those.)

I use three of those Pokemon in the n64 stadium game....well I lied I use 2 but I use the evolve of meowth because persian is crazy.

Scyther, Vaporeon, and Persian...My other three are Jolteon, Ninetails, and Rapidash.

Otherwise I build the team based on the team I'm going against which means I have to be more expansive in my choices.
