James Marshall Hendrixmore widely know as Jimi Hendrix
i chose a particularly beautiful (i found the ref photo quite beautiful) for depicting Jimi working his wonderous magic on the six string sonic type machine gun of rock power

A great image of a great guitarist who died far too early....I don't think there is anything he ever recorded that I didn't like
I have this image of him in my mind...on stage on his knees leaning back holding the guitar up and playing it with his teeth

Tank you!
I think there's footage of him playing with his teeth on the film Woodstock, and perhaps Monterey Pop Festival as well

Yes I must have seen some stills from Woodstock though he also played the Isle of Wight festival in England in 1970 and spent a bit of time here. I was amazed to see that he was only 27 when he died. I often wondered why Fender or Gibson never made a left handed guitar for him. He's not the only left handed musician around either...Paul Mc Cartney is another

Albert King is a famous blues musician, very notable aside from being a great blues player, but also for playing right-handed instruments upside down instead of re-stringing them for his left-handed purposes. Paul, i know was gifted his left-handed Rickenbacker. But i think he ordered his Hofner, and at the time they either had stock lefty basses or custom made it for him.
Not sure about the Fender thing though, because I know they gave George and John Baritone guitars, but it doesn't seem like they made a custom lefty bass for Paul.

I do not very often find a picture of Jimmy I do not like - he's a great subject matter, IMO.

Would you ever draw one, of him, without his guitar?

I've been wanting to draw just his face - if i could draw him well enough to be proud to make my own t-shirt
Well, i suppose it doesn't just have to be his face, just one of his many many cool poses
