I love the colors and texture.
That's very beautiful.

Thanks for the compliment. Of course, I tried to mimic Leonid Afremov's colorful and lively style to my own limited degree.
Leonid truly makes some stunning art work. If you have not seen it, you should check it out.

Yep, I did. As a matter of fact, I think i will use a knife exclusively for the next while. I love the effect it leaves on the oil.
But be forewarned. I knew the knife eats a lot of paint, but I had no idea how bad it was until this impressionistic painting.
I have to get many more tubes, it's voracious.

ive been working with oils and i love how it layers over itself without needing to be dry. but with acrylics some parts dry by the time you even get back to them and i kinda like that more. but when i do use oils i like to use the fan brush for much of the picture for some odd reason. i just like the effect it has.

Everyone has their favorite tools, and there's nothing wrong with the fan brush.
I have tried acrylics, but I did not like how they are dilute. You can texture oils for some interesting effects.
However, the fast drying nature of acrylics ensures that you can work on one piece fairly quickly.
