thank you for the feels! I work with holbein oils and mix from primary colors. I try to keep their intensity and place the colors where they make sense. I use brush for the first few layers and then I use palette knife on later layers (wet on dry). It also helps that I'm a chef by profession and I apply cake decoration techniques to the final layer.Β

Thanks for the reply! I hope to try out using oils someday. It's never been something I was exposed to before. I also think it's cool that you apply a skill from your profession to your art. no prob. and thank you! oils can be daunting at first, but remember oils is just a tool like watercolor, they have different rules. Once you become familiar with oils you can make some really mean work. Please share! The images of my work are free to download.... cheers!
