Description This was a project some friends from work and i did. The purpose was to draw Kitty Pryde in our own style, and then we would assign a contrary style for us to draw the same image in. You can see two of the 4 kitties here ([link] [link] ). As professional we began to lament our anchored nature and decided we need to be able to draw in all styles more freely. So here is our exercise.

I really enjoy your style - plus, I've never seen Lockheed portrayed this way before, and I love it

thanks kindly! I wanted to give Lockheed alittle more... mysticism then the classic block headed beasty he is, and i think that it works well with a shy insecure teenage Kitty. Glad you like it. hope i dont disappoint on the next go around!

Ah nice, very cool. It's nice to see such a modern character done in such an old ( watercoloured storybook ) style.

Love it.

Thanks. I find the scan very unfortunate. The original is much bolder in colour and contrast, yet maintains that wonderful delicateness of the medium. I MIGHT try to do cartoon Kitty digitally, but... that would be gross for me.

You're gross.......... yeah, I went there.

To each his/her own medium really. Although that could be a good test, switching medium as well as style. I was also thinking backgrounds could be a good challenge... mostly cause I don't think any one of us like/want to do them.

True. You'd have an advantage over me that's for sure. But have you ever drawn a background? Pencil or digital?

In any case we'll have lots of stuff to draw.
