Another request from my girlfriend for Day 26 ; pumpjacks! Also known as the above title, and thanks to wikipedia apparently also 'rocking horses' and even 'popping johnnies'.Anyway, just a quick environment thing.

'Round here in Kansas, we call 'em "grasshoppers."
Nice work! This certainly isn't something you see every day.

Amazing landscape. Though I feel like the colours are too alien for earth.

I HATE THOSE THINGS THEY FREAK ME OUT. I think of them as robot dinosaurs forever doomed to drill the desert, long after the sands of time have wiped away evidence of mankind IhatethemIhatethemIhatethem.

You're doing this thing on your highlight/brightspots where it looks like you have offset the red/green channels to give it a bit of a 3d look; how are you doing that? this looks great!

Nice environment, seems rather peaceful. Almost like you just stumbled upon these nodding donkeys wandering through a strange desert.

nodding donkeys have always bothered me for some reason but i like this. it seems peaceful and even pretty, not things you really associate with the oil industry.

oh man this makes me homesick for West Texas. There are more of those out there than trees!

My thought exactly. Of course, the areas I remember had clear air and no mountains, either, but my those oil drills were a big part of my childhood scenery on scorching car rides.

Scorching is the right choice of words....what the hell did our parents have against frickin' AC when we were kids. If you were riding in a car with vinyl seats it felt like your ass had melted to the seat by the time the ride was over.
