Description
I haven't actually watched this show. I've played the game a bit (the old one), but I haven't actually seen the Sat:AM series (the one worth watching, from what I hear).BUT, thanks to for introducing me to Snively, who seems like a really interesting, weird little character. The kind of character I'll probably end up buying and watching the entire Sat:AM series for.
Anyway, this is just a crappy little watercolour I did whilst testing out some new quill pen tips (the dipping kind).

Oh Snively. Both his SatAM and Archie incarnations have such fascinating and creepy potential. He's such an underrated character IMO

I skimmed the Wiki and . .. Knuckles stole his hair? But he got it back? Damn Sonic, even without the fandom you crazy.

He kinda does. I don't know why that happened. I think it's the teeth and the whole "better 'n you" demeanor.

A very nice picture of Snively (whos last name is just in Archie comics "Robotnik").
While SatAM is a great show and the origin of Archie, never mix up any character from Archie with SatAM. They are very different besides their common origin.
The show is a great help maybe to find some background for things that happened in the comics (because for a while they were based in the running show).

But, his last name is Kintobor, since Julian Kintobor is his father's brother. Right?

As I said, his last name is just Robotnik in Archie Comics.
In SatAM, nobody had the name Kintobor. Julian is his uncle, yes, but nobody ever said what Snively's last name is nor did anyone ever said if Robotnik is Julians later first name or his last name. (Would be strange, why should Julian call himself by his first name first and later with his last name? Since when does the king call his minister by his first name?)
As I said, don't mix up SatAM with Archie.

I understand this.
But, in the Archie comics, Julian's name and Snively's is Kinobor, not Robotnik.
You're right about his last name in SatAM. One was never mentioned. The king would just call him Julian in "In Blast to the Past." All The Dr. said was "The name is no longer Julian. From this day forward, I am Robotnik."
I was referring to his true name, Colin Kintobor Jr. When Julian changed his name, then sure, Snively's last name can be Robotnik too.

I already said: Don't mix up Archie with SatAM (thats what I hate Archie for):
In SatAM it's Julian and Snively, Dr. Robotnik and Snively.
In Archie, it's Kintobor, Ovi, Ivo, Snively, Robotnik, Eggman and everything else. Just there

Ha ha. I don't think I was mixing them up. You just mentioned that his last name in the comics was simply Robotnik. All I was saying was that his true name was Kintobor. It's indeed much simpler in the show.
It can be confusing in the comics, especially when you throw Eggman/Robo-Robotnik in the mix.
While he's Julian from another dimension, he goes by Ivo.
So he's Robotnik and Eggman, and goodness it can be a bit of a mess.
It's nice to see another SatAM fan though.

SatAM is actually the show that threw me into Sonic and on this page/into art. But however, I don't like Archie very much (even though they keep "SatAM alive") and also I don't like the games very much.
This is why I really pay attention to correct seperation of SatAM, Archie and SEGA stuff

Me too! Well, it was MistressAli's site that first introduced me, but the show cemented my love for Sonic. I read the comics to try to stay connected to characters I like, like Snively. Okay, mainly for Snively. I really like Bunnie too. There's nothing wrong with disliking the comics. And the games do have a bad track record when it comes to pleasing fans. "Genesis" was nice though. It's okay to be a stickler for things like that.
And, by the way, your love for Robotnik is most wonderful.

Oops. I meant "Generations" was a good game. The "Genesis" Arc in the comics was good too. A nice throwback to the games in their prime.
You do a nice job drawing him too! He's one of the most interesting villains out there. That's the MistressAli I was talking about. I owe my whole knowledge of Sonic to *lupienne .
She's made of awesome sauce!

Snivums looks awesome this way!
Amazing job!

Gratzi, gratzi.
I think...I think I'm gonna have to. Tell me, though--does Snively have a lot of screen time? Or is he mostly just a little background character; the generic abused henchman who doesn't get much development? I know he gets more developed in the comics, but I honestly don't know anything about the Sat:AM series.

Yes, you must!
Hmm. It depends on the episode honestly.
Sometimes he's absent completely and other times he plays a big role ("No Brainer" for instance).
His character becomes more conniving when season 2 starts.
He's the reason I got into the show, the comics, and Sonic in general.
It's an enjoyable show without Snively too.
Jim Cummings as Robontik is chilling and my favorite performance of the Doc.
You can see some (if not all) of the episodes on Youtube if you wanna test it out before you buy the set.
Besides ~evilengine9's amazing tumblr, try MistressAli's (~lupienne) old website for Snively.

How can one not love Jim's amazing talent?
Charlie Adler's too (Snively!).
It was my pleasure to help you!
SatAM needs more love. It's a joy that must be spread!
