The normally silent archives were filled with quiet but constant sound. The creaking of bark and the rustling of leaves. The tearing of fabric tightly wrapped around a tree trunk. The crackling of roots burrowing through the stone floor. Though Angela's face was twisted into an off-putting knothole, she was actually quite relieved to be receiving nutrients from the earth. Her only problem was the distinct lack of sunlight in her current location. She wasn't worried. She knew she possessed the power to dig through the solid foundation of Underborough High School. With a little patience, growing through a ceiling or three wouldn't be a problem.
