Angela gasped and tried to resist as her legs slowly and involuntarily forced themselves together. She was even more shocked to see that they were sticking together! The skin was melding, and she could feel her muscles and bones sliding around underneath, rearranging themselves. It didn't hurt quite like she expected such a thing to do, but it certainly felt weird. The sudden absence of a leg made her start to lose her balance...
(1.) ...and she fell backwards!
(2.) ...yet she remained standing, sort of.
