The darkness that covered Angela's hair and clothes evaporated off her, making the already dim archives even darker. The music in her head faded, then returned at a much slower tempo. The chords and riffs washed over her, acid-washing her head to toe denim ensemble. She dug her long, red fingernails dug into her frizzy, spray-dyed hair and screamed. Her eyes were transfixed on the shimmer of a stage that she couldn't quite make out with all the flashing lights. When she occasionally glanced from side to side, she was shocked to see that she was alone. She couldn't believe that everyone went to the bathroom or to buy a beer or grab a smoke. The real fans know the slow songs are the best ones! "Just as well," she thought. Only a delusional wannabe groupie thinks the lead vocalist is singing a power ballad directly to them. But alone in the archives, Angela knew this was a fact.
