Angela's mind felt cloudy, as though her thoughts had to work their way through her body's slimy coating to fully form. Her arms slowly sunk into her... she wasn't sure. Where did her torso end and her foot begin? Didn't she have two foots... feet... a moment ago? With two wet pops, her arms vanished into her bulbous form. Her eye stalks waved lazily and independently of each other. She gazed at the mantle that once once her hair that was draped over her... something. Not shoulders, she guessed, unable to shrug something that wasn't there. Angela slowly crawled towards the stairs to the archives. Maybe a looooong, sloooow walk would help her think.
