I've been a Godzilla fan as far as I can remember. Godzilla 1985 (particularly the original Japanese cut) is in my top 5 movies overall and, in spite of a lukewarm critical reaction, I LOVED seeing him on the big screen in the recent Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

I also love AVP, particularly the Yautja from the Predator franchise. However, I've always found them very...intimidating...to draw. I did a trial run a few weeks ago and decided to try and draw one for real after being surprised by the results.

This drawing is, obviously, two of my favorite movie monsters combined. Godzilla is a design that I actually based on old doodles of the character that I have in old notebooks and the like. It looks like a combination of Legendary Picture's design from 2014 and the classic Heisei design to me, which makes sense because I adore both designs.

The Predator is taken from bits and pieces of other Predator designs that I liked. I decided to add the scratch marks on the mask because, in order to even TRY to hunt down the Big-G, he would clearly have to be an Elite Predator (or just really cocky...probably both).

The gargoyle the Predator is standing on is actually based on a real gargoyle from 12th century Scotland. Just google alien gargoyle and you can see it. It's pretty awesome!

As to who would win? Godzilla is the obvious choice, but I always find myself rooting for the underdog. As long as it doesn't end with "MARTHA!" I'd be invested.
