Xander rushes back beside Advent. Xander looks at his mother in disbelief.

Xander looks into his mothers blue eyes, trying to hold back tears.
Xander: Mother, your son is standing before you. My name... is Xander.
Sun Spark starts tearing up.
Sun Spark: My son... my beautiful son. Oh, if I could I would hug you and give you kisses all day long! Thank the princesses your ok.
Xander blushes a little.
Xander: I have been waiting my whole life to finally see you mother. You look so beautiful.
Sun Spark: Aaw, thank you sweetie. *Looks at Advent* Is this pony a friend of yours Xander?
Xander: He is one of few ponies that I call a friend. Advent, would you like to introduce yourself?

Xander: Father is not here, but he is ok mother.
Sun Spark: Oh thank goodness! My son and husband are alive and well. If only I could see my love.
Xander: I could go and fetch him real quick mother.
Sun Spark: Oh Xander be a dear and get him for me.

Advent: Okay... Then I guess I can start with this one... What is it like in Heaven for you?

Sun Spark: It's everything you think it would be Advent. Imagine in your head what heaven would look like, that is what its like. And it's beautiful. Though, it can be tough without your family here to enjoy it with you.

Advent:...I can only imagine how my parents feel... But don't worry about that. I've seen your family's hearts. They're on their way to joining you. Though, thankfully, they're not in any hurry to leave this plain... I'm sorry, did I word that wrong?!

Sun Spark: It's ok Advent, I know you mean well. As long as my husband and son are happy and have each other, I am happy. Did you have any other questions?

Advent: Oh, of course! What do you do there? How do you spend your eternity?

Sun Spark: Where to start? When the pearly gates of heaven opened for me, there was an almost blindingly bright orb of light on a pedestal. There was nopony else around, I was all alone with this orb and standing in this blank celestialΒ plain that stretched as far as the eye could see. I was hesitant to touch the orb at first. I was worried it might harm me. When I finally summed up the courage to touch it, it didn't harm me at all. My hoof went right through the ethereal orb and... nothing happened. I had no idea what to do with this orb.
After hours of tinkering with it, I discovered it's incredible secret! When you touch the orb and close your eyes, you don't see nothing but blackness, you can still see the orb! So I closed my eyes and thought of the first thing that came to my head. A flower. When I opened my eyes, what I was holding in my hooves was no longer an orb of light, I was holding a beautiful flower!
I closed my eyes and thought of Ponyville, when I opened my eyes, I was transported to Ponyville! The orb of light can do anything you can think of! You are limited only by your imagination!
Though, there is one thing it can't do. Let you see the living. You can only summon ponies that have passed on. I guess it will be years before I can see my love and my beautiful baby boy.
Advent. Heaven is your playground.

Advent: *Chuckles and scratches head while blushing* Eheheh... Funny story about that. You see, we were in this fighting tournament together where we faced each other...sorry to say, but I was the one who won. He was good, though! VERY good! I honestly didn't think I would stand a chance! But while he was there, I saw his profile and something about him made me want to help him with some issues he had. I wouldn't get to see him again until after the tournament was over, but when I did while travelling, I stopped by to talk to him.Β

Sun Spark: A... fighting tournament? I didn't know anything like that existed in Equestria. And my son was in it? Oh, I hope he didn't get badly hurt. But he looks ok so I guess he can fend for himself. Anyway, my son had issues? What did you talk about?

Advent: You should have seen him! Both he and Sir Dark Thorn were amazing when they fought! They both made it to their own final rounds when they went into their own competitions and wiped the floor with most of their opponents! Funny enough, it was my wife, Dream Vania who defeated Xander and my son, Nightraid who defeated Dark Thorn. But despite our many battles, we never considered each other as enemies or even rivals. We became good friends and I guess you can say our families have formed bonds between clans now! As for the issues...well, I think it would be better if you heard it straight from him.Β

Sun Sparks eyes start to well up.
Sun Spark: ....my love....*sobs softly*....you don't know much I missed you.
Dark Thorns eyes well up.
Dark Thorn: ...I was...going to say the same thing.
Xander turns his head to Advent and smiles.

Xander puts his hoof on Dark Thorn's shoulder.
Dark Thorn looks at Xander and wipes his eyes.
Dark Thorn: Xander, how is this possible? How did you do this?
Xander: Its... beyond your comprehension father. Its a very complicated process that took me years to piece together. It took a lot of resources and willpower.
Dark Thorn: I'll... take your word for it.
Sun Spark: Xander, my love, where are you two right now?
Xander: We are at my home. In the.... Everfree Forest.
Sun Spark: The Everfree Forest! What in Celestia's name are you doing there?!
Xander: Truth is mother, I have lived in the Everfree Forest for most of my life. I grew up here. When I arrived here, I was just a filly.
Sun Spark: Why did you go there in the first place?
Xander looks at his father for approval to continue. Dark Thorn nods and allows Xander to continue.
Xander: To.... get away from my father.
Sun Spark: Wh-what? Why?
Dark Thorn: My love, you won't like what you're about to here. But I have to get this off my chest.

Advent looks down quietly and breathes calmly.

Dark Thorn: When you passed away, my heart sank into my stomach. I bawled my eyes out until I had no tears left. The love of my life was taken from me in the blink of an eye. All I had left was this foal in my hooves. My son, who I didn't even give a name to. I took him home that night, put him in the crib we got for him, and went into the living room. I just sat there feeling like my head was going to burst from all the imagery and thoughts swirling in my mind.
Sun Spark: Wait. If you didn't give our son his name, then who did?
Xander: I did mother.
Sun Spark: Wh-What? You named yourself?
Xander: Do you not like my name mother?
Sun Spark: No, its a good name. I just... wish I could have given you a name like a mother should. But that is your name, and I'm fine with it.
Dark Thorn: Sunny, that's not even the worst of it.
Sun Spark: It gets... worse?
Dark Thorn: For the next few years since Xander's birth, I raised him as my son. In silence. I didn't say a word to him. I.... was not a good father. Xander didn't go to school, I never took him anywhere, he cried a lot and I never comforted him. As he grew older, I grew, more bitter. The bitterness turned to hate and I saw our son responsible for taking your life. Because of that.... I....
Sun Spark: You what? What did you do? Tell me!
Dark Thorn: For two years.... I....guess there's no good way to say this. I.... beat him.
Sun Spark gasps loudly. Looks very concerned,
Sun Spark: Xander, is this true?!
Xander with his head down, nods slightly.
Sun Spark's eyes start to well up.
Sun Spark: H-HOW COULD YOU!! THAT IS NOT THE STALLION I FELL IN LOVE WITH! I DIDN'T GET MARRIED TO A CHILD BEATER!
Xander: Mother...
Sun Spark: YOU SHOULD BE IN JAIL!
Xander: *Slightly louder* Mother...
Sun Spark: YOU'RE NOT A PONY, YOU'RE A MONSTER!
Xander: *Yells* MOTHER!
Sun Spark stares at Xander, shocked by the fact that he just yelled at her.

Advent: *Takes a deep breath* Look, where I do agree that Dark Thorn has no excuse for what he's done and his moral crimes against Xander were harsh and unforgivable, that doesn't mean that Dark Thorn himself is. Both your son and husband have been working hard to reconcile their differences and repair the bond that they had. Fate did not bring your family back together just so it could break apart like this. You need not to forgive the sin, but at least forgive the sinner. Xander already has, after all. It's okay to be upset, but at least find it in your heart to forgive him. I have seen true monsters and Dark Thorn is not one of them.Β

Xander: Mother, what Advent just said is all true. Father is working so hard to redeem himself.
Dark Thorn: Exactly! I was blinded by hatred.Β Without you Sunny, I didn't know what to do, where to turn and where to go. I even tried to take my own life when Xander ran away to begin his new life in the Everfree Forest. Sunny... I am blinded no longer. What I did was pure evil and you are right to be angry with me. Sunny... please forgive me.
Sun Spark: He... was a child. He-
Xander: I'm not a child anymore mother. I can fend for myself. I live in the Everfree Forest for Celestia's sake! Hunting monsters day and night. It's survival of the fittest here, and I'm on top of the food chain. Mother, I forgive my father.
Sun Spark: But, but. I don't want my son to be a killer!
Xander: I'm not a killer mother. I'm a survivor. A warrior. Just like father. *Hugs Dark Thorn*
Sun Spark's eyes well up with her hooves to her mouth, trying to conceal her smile.
Xander: Mother, do you still love him?
Sun Spark looks deep into Dark Thorn's eyes. Dark Thorn tries to convince her with a smile.
Sun Spark: I'll never forget what you did to your gift to me, our son. But if Xander forgives you, then I do too.
Dark Thorn gets closer to his wife.
Dark Thorn: Remember what I said on our wedding day? That I will love you til the day I die.
Sun Spark nods.
Dark Thorn: Well, knowing what's coming for me when I do pass on. Our love... will never die.
Sun Spark: Oh, come here you!
The whole family embrace each other.
