ThanXXX SOOO much, Debby, for the βFrench Grenadier 1807β Fav! ThanXXX also for your kind comment! I really appreciate it! Like all of my Cavalry series, this is inspired by the Superb Work of Dr Zvonimir Grbasic and Velimir Vuksic!
My fellow DA Artist tells me that the French nickname for such a soldier of Napoleon is β Un Grognardβ!
Another Da Artist says that he thinks that Grognard translates as 'grumbler' in English; apparently the grenadiers of Napoleon's Old Guard were of such high caliber, that they had the privilege of complaining in the emperor's presence, which led to the rest of the army referring to them as 'Les Grognards'.
Keep on Creating! Cheers!
