Description
I added WaterColour to my Siegfried sketch, inspired by the Work of Aubrey Beardsley! I actually painted a photocopy of the sketch, so I could keep the original to work on another time!Related content

Somehow I missed that one! Hey, that's a great idea, to paint a photocopy! Is this sepia or brown watercolour? I'm curious. I love how everything is so delicate, al lt hetiny dteilas, th elittle dots everywhere..

ThanXXX for noticing! (honestly!) The watercolour is in tones of Grey, but, as you know We LOVE sepia, I might do a sepia version! The reason it's grey is that photoCopy ink can sometimes be a little difficult to cover with coloured washes and grey covers more efficiently! Keep on Creating! Cheers!

ThanXXX SOOO much, Andressa, for the “Siegfried WaterColour” comment! I really appreciate it! As I mention in my notes , I added WaterColour to my Siegfried sketch, inspired by the Work of Aubrey Beardsley! I actually painted a photocopy of the sketch, so I could keep the original to work on another time! I think I’ve finished it for now! The pose is very reminiscent of St Sebastian, who was usually depicted being pireced by arrows! Keep on Creating! Cheers!

I would like to see it with lots of luscious, varied coloration, too. Greens, golds, blues, reds? This is a wonderful drawing and neat to see it painted.

That is an interesting idea! The reason that it is monochromatic is that Beardsley didn't really do colour! He was much more into stark Line and some tone! I might have a go sometime, though! Cheers!

There is some line about Beardsley prints in a song... is it a Rod Stewart song? I think it is. He is speaking about his love's qualities and the things in her life... and Beardsley prints are one of them. I believe he is saying she is very with it and chic, has good taste, etc. After all, she has Beardsley prints! Wink.
