Completely flummoxed by Macy's power and speed, Cici tried to regain her senses and composure after being tackled to the mat by trying to wrap Macy in the guard maneuver with her legs to defend herself from Macy's onslaught. However, Macy was able to very quickly and easily pass Cici's guard and pinned her to the floor in a side mount position. Cici did her best to buck Macy off of her, however Macy was proving exactly why she's in the conversation as one of the best BJJ practitioners in the world. Cici became so flustered that she made a fatal error; she exposed her arm allowing Macy to grab it and place her in a deep armbar. Feeling an intense stretch in her shoulder joint and surrounding muscles and ligaments, Cici began to flail around.

If this were an actual sanctioned competition, Macy would show no quarter and apply the armbar to the fullest intensity with intent to injure if her opponent didn't tap out. But this was just a friendly sparring match and she didn't want to seriously hurt her good friend; Macy applied only enough pressure to let Cici know that this was checkmate. Cici feverishly tapped on Macy's knee several times, conceding this match to her dominant opponent who immediately released her armbar.
