Hey, how's it going everyone?It's been a while since I uploaded any SF art... so I thought it's time I need to.
Here's another drawing of my series of Ryu x Chun Li art... and I have to say that I really love how this piece came out.
Ryu is off to find Akuma and Chun doesn't want him to go, fearing he may not come back alive.
I was listening to this when I started drawing it... let's say it put me in the mood to draw the setting. Yes, I'm a big Naruto fan.

It just came to me that CL's wearing her spike bracelets and hugging him. If it wasn't for the grim expression there would be an Omake/blooper moment here.

which mean Ryu's a really tough guy.
And I think that quote might be from a sniplet of Berserk or somewhere in Sword of Truth series regarding the measure of a man

yeah its heartbreaking and he has to do what he has to do, good job on the grim expression. I also like having CL hug Ryu from behind under happier circumstances. so yeah depending on the emotion drawn this pose kinda goes two ways.
I can't remember where I read/heard it but there was a phrase that kinda goes.
"The size of a man's back as he defends his friends."

I like seeing Chun hug Ryu from behind during their happier moments as well (probably one Chun's ways of showing/giving Ryu affection)... with this, I thought I turn it around a bit, and like you said, it works both ways.

Thanks! Funny thing is I was having trouble with the leaves more than anything else... I didn't want to many leaves but have plenty instead of less.

Thanks! Yeah, this is it... I've always wanted to give my art an Anime feel to the colors, and I think I've achieved that thus far. Still practicing though... ^_^
Compared to my earlier art, this is way cleaner like you said. The lines in this is more thin and smooth versus the bulkier lines in my other art.
