I strongly believe that Godzilla would win this fight.
Godzilla's had a long experience of battling monsters more bigger and stronger than him. Several times he was nearly killed in battle, but he managed to survive in the end. He doesn't care how big his opponent is, he'll still fight whether if he loses or not.
Slattern may be larger, and yeah it may be more than a match for Godzilla to handle. But since it didn't appear until the last minute, there's not much to say about it's fighting capabilities.
Plus, Godzilla has a powerful healing factor, which allows him to heal from the wounds he sustains in battle.
Godzilla's Atomic Ray would also prove useful in battle against the Slattern. So if the Slattern were to underestimate him, Godzilla would most likely use his beam to inflict serious damage.
The fight would probably start out difficult at first, but overtime Godzilla would begin to gain the upper hand.

This isn't even a fair fight. Slattern would sneeze on Godzilla. Godzilla would dissolve into a pile of slime. xD

Gypsy took out Slattern and it's not much different than mechs-godzilla.

Yes. Mostly MSTed. Slattern still wins.

Godzilla is a living atomic bomb with what is basically a mini sun for a heart...Now remind me what burned through slattern at the end...oh yes a macro scale nuclear powered overglorified flame thrower.
Godzilla has a concentrated beam of pure unadulterated thermonuclear power capable of blowing up targets in space (multiple movies) and obliterating an artificial BLACK HOLE (Godzilla vs Megaguirus)....and he can lift other monsters far far heavier then himself.
Oh and how can i forget, remember that blast Striker Eureka made at the end...the realllly powerful one...yeah Godzilla can pump a stronger version of that out REPEATEDLY so long as he feels the need to, its called his Nuclear Pulse (various films) , and it results in cities not existing anymore.
Next time look into what you are saying and dont use MSTK3 as a reference, you are wrong and have no clue what you are talking about.

Godzilla's atomic blast is not as powerful as an actual atomic bomb - something Slattern took to the face, already injured, and shrugged it off like it was nothing. What's your reasoning for thinking Godzilla's beam is more powerful than Gipsy's exhaust?
I'd go further, but you should probably watch the movie again so you can get a better feel for the characters - like learning the main jaeger's name.

It's kinda hard for me to root for Slattern when Godzilla is 20'000 to 60'000 tons. Slattern's only advantage over Godzilla is mobility and speed.
But a well concentrated nuclear blast from Gispy ended him and Godzilla can use that constantly. Slattern's used his superior weight against most Jaegers and doesn't have much combat experience on land.

I tend to ignore official weight statistics when they contradict common sense.
And Gipsy's reactor may operate on the same principle as Godzilla's atomic breath, but that does not make the two of comparable intensity. Slattern had two megatons go off in his face, and it did virtually nothing. That's a measurable bit of punishment that we can use as a reference. With that kind of resistance, all we can conclude is that gipsy's reactor exhaust, from that range was just that intense.

Please don't rub it the wrong way when I say this but, I've never heard of ignoring the weight statistics before.
It's one of the most important factors in kaiju debates and to throw that out at of the window is kinda illogical.
Aside from that, Slattern's resistance to nuclear attacks wear down because of that nuke with pin-point shots severely hurting him. Striker was piercing his skin with his Sting-Blades, than he'd cried for help.
Now a two megaton nuke can't hurt him, but a 300*F thermal energy blades and concentrated blast can.
Godzilla's red spiral ray has this in the bag.

If we don't ignore official weight statistics, then we're left with a Gamera who's lighter than air, and jaegers who could be knocked around by conventional weaponry. It contradicts what we see onscreen, and what we see is more important.
I don't really have an answer for the blades. Gipsy's and Striker's blades were just stupidly effective every time they were used. It seems PR kaiju are as tough as Toho ones, but jaeger edges weapons are leagues above them. It's definitely not the heat that makes them so, however. Striker's are heated, but Gipsy's aren't, and they're about on par. Edged weapons in the PR verse are just insanely effective.
Godzilla's spiral way is not capable of anywhere near the force exerted by that blast. If he held Slattern up to himself and sustained the blast, it might have a similar effect, but we still can't be sure, seeing as how we have no way of measuring the power of Gipsy's chest exhaust. I'm sticking with "Two megaton blast < Slattern < Jaeger blades/Gipsy's reactor maneuver."

I kinda catch your draft on the weight system, it would be in general pointless to have Slattern face Godzilla when according to official weight statistics Mothra crushes Slattern to death by sitting on him. But you can't deny or ignore the official statistics (facts) in fantasy, nonfictional vs. debates because it doesn't sound legit in real life logic. I sound blunt but it is what it is most the time. The point that Godzilla can be 60'000 tons and still move with his bones not being crushed is impossible yet he still does. Now i've notice you've been downplaying Godzilla's atomic red spiral raw, here's a clip of Godzilla FW to help you out.
PS: Keizer Ghidorah is 100'000 tons

That's FW Godzilla, AKA: Gokuzilla. If we're going with that specific incarnation, then debating is pointless because he kills the fuck out of anything that opposes him.
And sorry, but I'm not going to accept an official word that describes a kaiju as having the density of styrofoam as fact in any context.

"kaiju as having the density of styrofoam as fact in any context"
You mean Slattern?

Phoenix-Fightmaster In reply to Markosoul [2013-09-14 05:43:02 +0000 UTC]
I mean the PR kaiju and jaegers in general. If you accept these weights as canon, then you must thus explain why kaiju don't get knocked around by conventional weaponry, why they don't tip over from the explosions they constantly create, and how they can take a punch without crumpling.
Then there's Gamera, who should float off into the stratosphere due to being lighter than air, if we accept his canon weight as fact.
When debating who would win in a fight, we have to accept Slattern's weight based on how he interacts with everything around him, not with the nonsense that someone with no background in engineering estimated. Sci-fi writers never have any sense of scale.

While I'm tryin' to figure out how the fuck is Slattern gonna tank a 2 megaton nuke to da face
yet bitches out when 300*F blade touches his skin he'll cry for help!
AND GAMERA DOESN"T FLOAT FOR SHIT!

Kinda the opposite result, since Slattern is so absurdly light he's made out of weberfoam, and would be launched over the horizon when Godzilla hits him once.

First rule of sci-fi movies: We always ignore official weight statistics. Always. Otherwise we wind up with five million foot monsters who are lighter than air, and alien ships that have the density of white dwarfs.

I agree. Weight seems like an attempt to hand-wave away all the ignoring-laws-of-physics, but still isn't quite enough. Gotta remember to hang your disbelief on the coatrack at the door. xD

you forgot Destroyah, who is possibly the biggest enemy godzilla fought. At 160 meters tall and 230 meters long and was the only monster to truly best godzilla in a fight.
