My first trip to NYC and this hotel (Westin on 43rd & 9th) made the stay so much more special the heavenly beds and showers were fantastic!!!

I know where that is. That's part of the Westin hotel in New york. I love that building and the skyscraper part of it too.

Ahh, probably on the wrong side of my surprise bus ride around Central Park. We had the absolute BEST BUS DRIVER of the fleet! Maybe of the USA, I am so impressed with his knowlege of NYC, his ability to remember all 49 names by the second day, and we took roll by numbers so how'd he do that? He did a small itinerary change that put a whole block of time in for us that allowed him to drive us around Central Park. It was so beautiful, big blooming trees and brilliant green buds everywhere! Too much to soak in. Plus, I was able to see the Guggenheim AND the Metropolitan!!!! That was awesome, just to be able to say that we drove by them when the band director plainly stated that "it just wouldn't happen". Dreams do come true when you hope and ask for them.

This composition rocks so hard, it makes me jealous. It kinda reminds me of some photos I did where I would try to zoom in and crop out any elements surrounding the subject, making it look strange and out of context. I agree with some other people, its almost surreal.

mrb24 In reply to BashMuttons [2004-11-08 15:52:35 +0000 UTC]

thank you, don't be jealous, it was a random shot. I like the colors and the lines with the windows... zoomed in and shot.

The thing I love about Deviantart, is when It constantly changes my ideas on my artform. I would never photograph something like this, since I previously wouldn't of seen it. Excellent eye you got there.

I really had a hard time even realizing that this what a photograph at first. So smooth .. I thought that maybe it was made in illustrator or something of that nature.

Played tricks on my eyes, the angles and the colors did. An amazing shot .. and I think I appreciated it all the more living in NYC myself. So, there you go: sweet!
