Description As a camel beareth labour, and heat, and hunger, and thirst, through deserts of sand, and fainteth not; so the fortitude of a man shall sustain him through all perils.

Wonderful picture. The sword is nice and the lavender wand is a nice side swipe; growth and death, beauty and beast feel.

Thank you! It's been ages since I've put together a still life type setup. They are so much fun. Especially when the atmosphere is all right there. And you're snowed in for days.

Exactly right! Not only is the knife itself a beautiful piece, I love the overall ambiance. And the poetry that went with it was quite nice, too.

Good luck with the foul weather; I hope you manage to dig out soon. Stay warm!

Interesting contrast between the sword and the lavender wand.

It's about 70 years old and it still holds a scent. It belonged to someone on my mothers side. Maybe my great aunts. But thank you!

I really like your object-shots like this one. Not only the weapons themselves are beautiful, also the warm, softlightning and the choice of colours... awesome! You really got an eye for this

I thoroughly enjoy them too. They allow you time to perfect the lighting. Which in this case was sunlight from a window illuminating the oil. And 3 candles. The light bouncing off the tile fills in the rest. Having an exposure of 8 seconds gives you the ability to cap that f/16 on a Carl Zeiss 50mm T* Prime. And yeah it's great for showcasing certain unique items.
