The idea of his head bathing in a different liquid than his body is intriguing, along with the equipment his head is attached to. It feels like that poor creature has been kept alive and grown up artificially or has been captured from a hostile environment which has been difficuly to replicate. It feels like this is work part of a bigger story, have you developed a background for it?

No, I don't have much of a story for this one. I created this image for the viewer to make up a story. I have my own ideas about what's going on of course but I think it's fun to create something that keeps the viewer imagining what could possibly be going on
