There's an alternate version too!

This picture was inspired by Junjo Arumeria by Shinra-Bansho ! I love that song and whenever I listen to it, it makes me think of Rolando! What I drew took on a bit of a different meaning from the song though. Here, Rolando is reminded that, although he is in Estevan's embrace at the moment, he can never truly escape his fate... But that won't stop him from trying, of course. Even if he ends up hurting himself and others. Rolando is an impulsive person after all and even if he struggles with something, he quickly gets his mind set on what he needs to do in order to fix it, regardless of the consequences.
This is why I decided to post this version instead of the other one. He's emotionless and closed off in this one, which I think suits how he goes about things that he struggles with.
He only shows grief for a brief moment, and that's why I think the alternate version is good too! It shows the vulnerable side to him that you don't see very often.

Phew! I don't remember the last time I talked this much on a drawing. Rolando's psyche is just so very interesting to me! I hope you found it interesting as well learning more about him! I tried to be vague, but I feel like you miiight be able to piece the story together if you payed attention to things I've said in other posts... maybe? XD

I've actually been wanting to draw this for a while now, but I struggled with how I wanted to draw it. I settled with the composition I imagined from the start hahah!
