Cappy’s Rockin’ Rendition

I promise you, these will only get worse! Another addition in my series of taking a classic western cartoon and then shoving every tired anime cliché down its throat to strip away its original charm and merit. Laugh now, for you shall be gnashing of your teeth within a decade when my prophesy of execs green lighting one of these EXTREME premises comes to fruition.

We now come to the abominable lust baby of Scooby Doo and the samurai demon anime. I am inappropriately proud of the Velma spidodile demon towards the top!

You know, I never did like Scooby Doo to begin with (except for A Pup Named Scooby Doo…huh). Mainly because the clues were impossible to figure out. “Aha, these green footprints were obviously made from the wet ink the criminals were using to make counterfeit money!” Wha…where did you come up with that? Could it be that the homeowners were repainting the barn? No? Wanna go with Nebraskan Underground Farmhouse Crime Syndicate? Okay!

That’s what ticked me off over the Scream movies, with their arbitrary clues that you couldn’t possibly have figured out thus robbing you of any satisfaction when the killer is revealed. She made a phone call at one point! Obviously she was communicating with the other killer! Any movie that creates clues that aren’t meant to be solved by the average viewer is what I now term the Scooby Dupe Rubric.

Now then, my clues are hopefully evident, but let’s dissect them one by one:

Shaggoni Kenshin
====================
He is the painfully shallow, one dimensional ronin warrior. He barely speaks, if only to inquire about the man who killed his father (who I bet has a distinct scar under one eye!).

These types of characters are meant to be badass, but because the script writer is 38 years old, lives with his grandmother, and his basis for cool are goombas from 80s American gangster films, this means Shaggoni is the antonym of badass.
…that means he’s NOT badass.

In fact, you can sum up the character in one sentence: he is a lone warrior searching for his father’s killer. Throughout the two seasons of this show, there will be no character development other than fifteen flashbacks of when his father was murdered.

Shaggoni’s kimono’s pattern is influenced CUZ OMG WEED REFERENCE!
Shaggoni smokes an unusually shaped cigarette CUZ OMG WEED REFERENCE!
Shaggoni has a weapon that looks like a fork utensil CUZ OMG WEED REFERENCE!
You do understand the fork is a reference to the munchies CUZ OMG WEED REFERENCE!

Finally, have you ever noticed that battle scars are usually described as “warrior tattoos”? It’s supposed to be a sign of a seasoned fighter…but personally, I’ve always seen it as a sign of someone who sucks at ducking. Also, I’ve reused the loop clips on his kimono from the previous design I made for Beaker in the Muppets drawing, proof that there is no copyright laws in Japan.

Daphne, The Tragic Cherry Blossom Princess Who Is Tragic

Despite being a charismatic turd, Shaggy—I mean, Shaggoni, still manages to bed the way-out-of-his-league token hot girl. Despite being centered in historic Edo, Daphne still has red hair, and big honking hooters trying to fight their way out of her kimono. These, of course, are not genetic traits—especially the boobs part—which is why all the men look so pissed in samurai films. The last episode will pretty much have this conversation:

Daphne: Please give up this revenge crusade, even though that’s your one discernable characteristic trait and what I originally found attractive about you!
Shaggoni: No, I cannot give up this revenge crusade, for it’s my one discernable characteristic trait.

Daphne will cry star shaped universe tears while running to Shaggoni, universe tears that are inhabited by a populace who are also crying, to compound her sadness! She will hug him from behind, he will turn around and still have a retardedly stoic face, and we will then see a fornication scene under the moonlight.

Hooray I guess.

Scooby Dooby Aroooo

In the tradition of failed allegory, Scooby is now a beeyootiful majikal majestik wolf spirit guide! Because wolves are honorable and noble creatures unlike disgusting murdering humans! Unless, of course, you’ve watched any documentary on wolves or animals in general. Animals are horrid creatures, raping the females, killing rival cubs, and torturing their prey. And if I recall correctly, wolves always keep a weaker wolf around to sacrifice if the pack is in danger. Last time I checked, humans don’t have a law dictating we sacrifice retarded people to tornadoes.

Also, Scooby has angel wings, because holy crap is Japan fascinated with angel wings. And Shaggoni’s hair and Scooby’s fur color are the same, in order to make the connection that Scooby was part of Shaggoni’s subconscious all along before Scooby fades away!!!1!

Geez. Am I the only one impressed from a technical standpoint? You normally get to see my talent in 3x7 panels…usually 3x7 panels about robots. It’s good to do pieces like this. A preview/warning of what’s to come, I have Care Bears, Pac-Man, and Wizard Of Oz to bastardize with KAWAII ANIME DESU POWAH!!!
