Your dad has a nice tractor. My dad had several tractors when I was kid. They were really old. Like the kind you had to start with a crank. I know one was a Farmall-B and one was a Farmall Super-C. And there was also an old John Deere from the 40's but I don't remember the exact model.

Not bad for a 1978 model ehh I totally understand what you are saying though. We have enough ground that we need a couple bigger tractors to get over it all, but we still can't afford the new ones. There are a lot of neat old tractors out there, I always enjoy looking at the ones people have restored at the fairs and stuff. There are still a lot of those Farmalls around in the restoration circuits, those things seem to never die. My dad used to be a White/Oliver person, but all the parts dealers went out of business in our area around here, so we have made the move to John Deere. We still have a couple Whites though, just have our fingers crossed that we don't have to do too much parts shopping for them.

I think Farmalls could last forever. I always figured if there was some crazy nuclear war or zombie apocalypse or some other collapse of modern society, if you had a Farmall you'd be in business.
