Description
These are a few of the baby elephant designs I've produced from my studies here [link]I'm going for a cartoon look for my final product, so I've coloured these disney style to test how my character might look once modelled and textured.
I'm going to be sculpting and normal mapping so I hope basic colours such as this will make for a decent visual style.
Pencil & paper, CS4, wacom, and a free paper texture.
More designs and different colouring styles coming up!

they were pretty fun to draw and paint, I've also done some studies on actual baby elephants which were fun too!

Well tbh, I didn't have a clue how to draw elephants to begin with so I decided to draw a load of them from reference.
Then I gradually got to a point where I could make them look cartoony.

yeah, it is pretty hard.
i always just exaggerate proportions and give them more human like expressions. there's much to it then that though obviously.
