Forest Knucker or Red GlatisantFamily: Albiodraconidae (Albionian drakes)
Size: 50cm (1ft 7) at shoulder, 2 metres (6ft 6) long (not including tail)
Diet: Invertebrates, small mammals and reptiles, amphibians, fish, carrion
A small relative of the eastern river dragons, the Forest Knucker is an amphibious creature native to the waterways of Albion. The forest Knucker coexists alongside its larger and more landlocked cousin, the Greater Glatisant (Glatisantus glatisantus), also known as the Questing Beast. Due to the Knucker's proclivity towards hunting more aquatic prey as opposed to the more land-based creatures preferred by the questing beast, clashes between the two species are kept to a minimum.
Knuckers live in loose family groups, usually consisting of a mated pair and their young. They live in burrows that are either dug by the dragons themselves or other creatures. These are approriately named "Knucker holes" and are a common sight along the rivers of Albion.
