Well, it's a start
I'm trying to get some pages out of deviantart storage... the first episode of Alien Encounters (and others). It's not proving easy and I may have to get the helpdesk involved.
...not that seeing the first part of the story will "explain" anything lol
But this will "make sense" in time

Well I know that, if you hover over the "Submit" button, an option called "Manage Deviations" is in the drop-down menu. Clicking on this takes you to the place where you can put your deviations in and take them out of storage just by selecting check-boxes and hitting the button "Store".
So I do this and "unstore" some, but they still don't show up in my gallery. This is the part I don't get.
I've downloaded some files from deviantart, then deleted the deviation. Tomorrow I'm going to resubmit some stuff... otherwise I can't use those cool Gallery Folders people use to separate their comics.

except one cannot tell what the names of the deviations are, so going to the artist's page to look for it doesn't help

I think I follow you now...
If the artist has it in storage, I think the only way to see it is if the artist un-stores it.
Because you're talking about deviations that you've Favorited, right?
