I've been thinking about this over the weekend I am curious about this: Which shipping do you guys like more? Jaune and Ruby or Jaune and Pyrrha? For the sake of this debate, I will side with the Jaune and Pyrrha shipping because they have had more time together, they've grown more comfortable with each other at this point, and seem to like each others company. I will say that I do not, in any way, hate the Jaune and Ruby shipping. I actually think it's pretty cute and have read a few fanfics based on this shipping and have become more comfortable with it. I think that in the end Monty will probably ship Jaune and Pyrrha together but I'll still be cheering for Jaune and Ruby on the side line! Who knows, maybe there might be a future episode where it deals with a love triangle between Jaune, Ruby, and Pyrrha! I'll definitely enjoy that episode!Β

I prefer Jaune with Pyrrha for a multitude of reasons biggest being i think there just cuter together. Honestly as far as Ruby goes I find myself shipping the Yuri couples White Rose and Bumblebee for the obvious reason of I think there cute and however unlikely it would be it would be awesome and progressive for even one of them (preferably White Rose for me) to become canon. To each their own but thats my preference

I think its slightly unfair that there are some fan speculations that Pyrrha knows Jaune more than Ruby. Yes it's true that she does, but she has more chances than Ruby do to the fact that they're on the same team. Pyrrha then has more chances to learn Jaune's personality and how he would be "normally" compared to Ruby. I'm not bashing on Jaune/Pyrrha, I'm just saying that you can't necessarily say that it's automatically going to be canon just because they have more interactions than any other "couple" within the show. In my opinion, Jaune doesn't seem to view Pyrrha as a romantic interest since he seems to openly flaunt his interests in specific girls such as Weiss, but there does seem to be a one side attraction from Pyrrha towards Jaune. Who knows, Jaune might finally see what Pyrrha is doing for him and develop feelings, but it's too soon to say that he likes her. So for me it's Pyrrha is attracted to Jaune and no other development until more seasons arise.Β
As for Ruby and Jaune. I developed a liking towards them, but its weak right now. To me it's kind of a well they're both the special character type (Ruby being the youngest in her group, and Jaune in his story) and they'll find a type of peace in each other's company. Not only that, but they seem to have an unique interaction that I can't ignore. It's not really a romantic interaction, but more of a "If Yang or Pyrrha weren't there, I'd go to them" kind of feeling. For example if they had to partner with another team member from another team, it would be a Ruby with Jaune kind of thing, and I would totally be okay with that. I kinda see them as a Harry & Hermoine kind of thing. Like you can sense that there should be something there by the way they hug/talk/interact/etc., but then again you don't want to mess up their friendship.

I actually ship Jaune and Ruby more but looking on how Jaune's relationship with Pyrrha has been , I think it'sΒ more possible.Β But I have nothing against Pyrrha and Jaune, I just shipΒ him with Ruby more XDΒ

There are a number of reasons that Pyrrha is better for Jaune than Ruby:
1. Pyrrha knows Jaune's darkest secret and is okay with it
2. She is actively trying to help Jaune break out of his shell
3. She is also personally training him to become a better fighter
4. Is more physically attractive (admittedly my opinion)
5. Is more mature (fact)
6. Ruby is generally oblivious to the situation Jaune is in (Ruby did notice that Jaune was down during the Cardin incident, but Pyrrha was the one who figured out what he was bothered about)
7. The bond seems to be deeper. There have been three possible RubyXJaune moments so far, as opposed to virtually every time Jaune and Pyrrha being on the same screen being a PyrrhaXJaune moment Β

I think it has something to do with Ruby being a "minor." For example, I'm currently 20 and I would feel incredibly awkward dating a 16 year old since she's still a minor.

I would love ruby and juane to start a romance in season 2 fair enough the reason why I think it would happen is that juane said "where can I find a nice qwerky girl to talk to " but then again juane would started to talk notice of pyrhha then again again ruby also helped him understand his role of a leader

I'm partial to Jaune/Pyrrha partly because I think Ruby might prefer the company of Crescent Rose at this point and partly because Pyrrha is more than willing and able to give Jaune the kick in the pants he needs when he actually needs it. I don't mind Jaune/Ruby, I just have a harder time seeing the romance getting started. They're too close to siblings in my eyes right now.

Well here's the obvious thing. People often prefer the Arkos shipping (Pyrrha and Jaune) because it frees up the White Rose shipping. (Weiss and Ruby) The unfortunate thing is that I'd bet there are numerous fans out there who miss out on some good stuff just because they're scared of the characters in a homosexual relationship.
I'm hetero myself, but really, if it plays into the characters, Yuri and Yaoi it up all bloody day.
Anyways, rant over, I prefer the Pyrrha and Jaune pairing, but mainly for the way their characters work together, and it does free up the other potential pairings...plus yes, technically speaking, he's older than Ruby, and I don't really see him as going for her.
